In 2016, 果冻传媒 Wellington (TDW) began operating the passenger rail network under the Metlink brand on behalf of the Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC).

果冻传媒 Wellington’s operations are the first example of the Public Transport Operating Model that was developed by the Ministry of Transport New Zealand.

A key feature of this model is an emphasis on TDW, GWRC and KiwiRail (as infrastructure owners) taking a parternship approach to the planning and delivery of services across the region.
